Until March 1, 2025, you get a unique and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enter the attic of Amerongen Castle - a place where normally no visitors come. During this exclusive tour, a specialized guide will take you up secret staircases, tell you the stories behind the imposing attic beams, and reveal how the castle was built and maintained 350 years ago, even in harsh winters.

Visit the fascinating Angel Room, where our textile volunteers work with endless patience to preserve beautiful historic fabrics. Delve into the winter history of the castle: from the time when the staff quietly prepared for summer habitation, to the drastic modifications from 1900, when Amerongen Castle was also inhabited in winter. Every detail of the carefully preserved and maintained heirlooms, brings history to life.
